# Terms of Use

Quantified Cognition is provided by **JollyJoyJourney**. Our
[contact and legal notice](/contact/) identifies the operator. These terms cover
the app's online services. The software is available under the
[GNU AGPL version 3](/license.txt); that licence governs your rights to use,
modify and distribute it.

## Using Quantified Cognition

Use accounts and data you are entitled to access, and respect other people's
privacy and the terms of connected providers. Do not disrupt the service,
circumvent its access controls or submit unlawful content.

The measurements use new methods whose reliability is still being evaluated.
They help you explore patterns and personal experiments. Use other evidence
when making important decisions, and do not rely on these results alone to
diagnose or treat a medical condition. The [Methods page](/methods/) explains
uncertainty and possible bias.

## Your data and research

The [privacy policy](/privacy/) explains how data is handled. Connecting a health
account does not submit your measurements to research. Research participation
requires separate consent, and each upload requires your confirmation. The
[research information](/research/) explains participation and withdrawal.

## Availability and third-party services

We may update, suspend or discontinue online features. Connections also depend
on their providers' availability, permissions and terms.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, third-party service providers give
no warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a
particular purpose or non-infringement, and are not liable for consequential,
special, punitive or indirect damages. Nothing in these terms limits rights or
liability that applicable law makes mandatory.

Material changes will be identified by an updated date and communicated where
appropriate. Changes do not expand an existing research consent. Contact
